Account Director
The TL; DR version: We’re hiring an account director, with a DEI and nonprofit background who plays by our House Rules. We need an organized team lead who can balance multiple initiatives, client faces, and motivate our team to think BIG.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of agency or nonprofit strategic marketing experience and have a deep passion for advancing DEI initiatives across age groups and backgrounds.
Event management experience is a plus.

The full story: This position is ideal for a self-starter with 5+ years of agency or nonprofit strategic marketing experience and who would thrive in a creative, results-driven environment. In this role, you’d be responsible for building and nurturing client relationships, collaborating on client communication strategy, overseeing tactical implementation and managing/mentoring fellow Gebens.
This isn’t a traditional agency role where you're stretched across multiple clients and industries. For this role, you'll primarily be fully ingrained in our work with a large, national nonprofit. (It's a household name, doing very important work.) If time and interest allows, you may play a smaller role with similar clients. We deliver a host of traditional and digital services that innovate best practices and deliver meaningful results for our clients. In this unique role, virtual event coordination and influencer marketing will drive large portions of your work.
What will you be doing as Geben’s newest team member? Every day is different, which keeps it fun and fresh, and some of your account director responsibilities will include:
As an account director, you’ll partner with clients and team members to blend traditional and digital communications with creative social content strategies.
Partner with Geben’s creative & communications strategists to develop digital initiatives that capitalize on the right message with the right audience at the right time.
Support the development and implementation of creative influencer campaigns and online events - including, but not limited to, securing vendors, managing talent, tech education, etc.
Propose strategic ideas that lead to increased client trust and growth opportunities for our work and the account.
Lead the development of project reporting that delivers insights and recommendations for fine-tuning strategy moving forward.
Remain on top of DEI and digital marketing trends to ensure our clients continue to lead the way in representation and DEI efforts.
Maintain a detail oriented timeline to ensure campaigns and deadlines are carried out to the expectations of each client.
Grow and maintain relationships with each client contact at various levels throughout each organization and company.
Develop agendas and lead client calls throughout business lines and mentor teammates on desired outcome and direction of each call.
Oversee account resources across different projects, including but not limited to, budget, staff workflow and hours.
